What is character animation?
Character animation is the process of bringing a still character to life through movement and expression. The process is complicated and involves multiple stages. The first is to design and create the look of the characters. Once finalised, you then create rigs. These rigs allow animators to move the characters in a way that is both expressive and believable. Character animation takes great deal of skill and is time consuming but the benefits outweigh these slight drawbacks.
What are the benefits of character animation?
As mentioned above, character animation can be hugely beneficial for your project. Characters are hugely engaging for viewers and it helps brands build emotional connections with their audiences. It also allows you to visualise and show complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand and is also relatable. Even though it is time-consuming, it’s still far cheaper than hiring actors or creating sets and gives you greater flexibility during the production of your character animation.
