Formula 1 came to us wanting to create a series of animations around “F1 Firsts” giving a fun insight into each one. The videos proved to popular, racking up over 1 million views on YouTube and social media.
The first episode focused on aerodynamic wings and how the primitive designs kick-started one of the biggest technical revolutions in motorsport. Archive footage and photos were also used, providing a thrilling look at these milestones in the rich history of Formula 1.
We created a fun 2D style and added a textured look to the animation to fit with the archive feel and make it more visually engaging.
